Clay Cormier & The Highway Boys Bio:
Clay Cormier is a very talented singer, songwriter, guitarist who began playing music at the early age of eight. Clay spent two years at the Magnet Academy for Cultural Arts improving his vocal and guitar skills and during that time wrote and recorded his first two singles. Later, during his high school years, Clay wrote and recorded "Going to the Camp" which still can be heard on KBON 101.1 today. Clay began performing solo while in high school and continues to do so today.
After graduating from high school Clay decided to form his own band and that was the beginning of Clay Cormier and the Highway Boys. Clay Cormier and the Highway Boys were influenced by several genres of music including classic/new country, classic/southern/alternative rock, blues, pop, funk, Cajun and zydeco. After performing at many different venues in and around the Lafayette, Louisiana, area, the band released their first album, titled "Nights You Can't Remember" is 2015. The album is being played on several radio stations and was the featured album on KBON 101.1 recently. Clay Cormier and the Highway Boys have continued playing shows and opened for such names as Jamie Bergeron, Geno Delefasso, Dustin Sonnier, Beau Young, Chris Himel and Kylie Frey.
Clay is available for solo acoustic shows and with the Highway Boys for larger shows.
