Alec MacGillivray - The Ultra Bio:

Bringing together Nashville style and Boston swagger, singer-songwriter Alec MacGillivray brings a party atmosphere with him, wherever he goes. The former college football player made the decision in 2015 to forgo his senior season on the field and pursue a musical career full-time. Since then, the 25-year-old MacGillivray has been nominated for six New England Music Awards and a Boston music award, and his songs have been streamed more than four million times. His recent hit “Bad Day to Be a Bud Light” has become a viral party anthem in over 60 countries.

With his dynamic live performances making him a "must-see" emerging artist, Alec has entertained audiences in theaters and clubs across America and supported such major touring acts as Sam Hunt, Keith Urban, Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett, and Dierks Bentley, and Cole Swindell.

Always in search of a new challenge, Alec formed the rock band The Ultra in February of 2018. The Ultra's EP climbed to the Top 10 on the Billboard Heatseeker chart. Following the success of the EP, the band toured nationally and had it's follow-up single, "Hightail" featured on Spotify's Hard Rock playlist. The band was nominated for four New England Music Awards and a Boston Music Award, and has been streamed more than a million times.

Gravitating back to country, he released his newest single "Pretty Things" in July of 2019, debuting on Spotify's "New Music Nashville"playlist. Alec is currently back in the studio working with a new backing band, crossing boundaries, and creating a style all his own with more fresh, exciting songs and sounds.
